Three steps
1 · Open your class
Open a class you teach in Google Classroom.
2 · Make a doodle video
Click the Make a doodle video button at the bottom right of the class page.
3 · Give it your script
Paste it, or choose a Word or text file. The video goes to your class, or waits as a draft for you to check.
Made for young learners
- Every word written on the board is said as it is written, so reading and listening go together.
- A simple cartoon picture is drawn for what is said, as it is said, and a list is drawn in full.
- Each part ends with its key idea on a sticky note, read aloud. Captions and gentle music are included.
- Headings in your script (or Word's Heading styles) become the video's parts.
Private by design
- Only teachers see the button. Students simply watch the video in Classwork.
- The video is made on your computer and saved to your own Google Drive.
- KinoDraw never reads your students' names, work or grades. Your script's sentences are sent only to suggest pictures, and are not kept.
For school IT
- Install it for teachers only: Admin console → Devices → Chrome → Apps & extensions → Users & browsers → the teachers' organizational unit → Add from Chrome Web Store → Force install.
- Allow its Google sign-in: Security → Access and data control → API controls → App access control → trust the
